DALLAS TV STAR! Raises two million for charity!

Celebrity Breakfast brought to you by Paramount Media Productions

Actor and singer Howard Keel, who played Clayton Farlow in the mega TV series Dallas which is to return to our screens next year had put his name to Europe’s biggest celebrity golf charity event here in the UK ‘The Howard Keel Golf Classic’. After his very sad death in 2002, Don Felder formerly from the legendary band ‘The Eagles’ and the co writer of the world famous song, Hotel California took over as the tournament’s host and the event celebrated its 25th year a few weeks ago at Carden Park Hotel near Chester with over 50 celebrities’ flying in from all over the world to help support this prestigious event that has raised two million pounds for charities.

The event this year was in aid of the NSPCC and Christies and the evening’s celebrity cabaret was as usual world class including Tony Christie who blasted out amongst many his hit song, ‘Show me the way to Amarillo’ and top of the bill was Don Felder himself who played guitar and sang most of The Eagles hits, which brought the audience to its feet.

The event has been run for the past 25 years by my Dad, ex-Manchester United and Scottish International legend, “Willie Morgan’ and was going to be his last but at the request of so many celebrities’ and regular guests he has decided to pass the event down to me as I am very well established as an events organiser and was recently asked by Sir Cliff Richard OBE to run a charity event for him to help him raise some much needed funds for the Algarve charity he supports.

We will run next year’s event, as a father and daughter team and then Dad will finally hand over the reins to me the following year.

‘I am looking forward to working with Dad over the next few months, but as we have never worked on the same event together before it should be an interesting time!”

Celebrity Breakfast with Kym Marsh

Celebrity Breakfast brought to you by Paramount Media Productions

Kym Marsh

I first heard Kym Marsh sing at a charity event in Manchester in 2000 before she came into the public eye as a contestant on Popstars and eventually won herself a place in the band ‘Hear’ Say’. I remember being stunned by her beautiful voice back then and even though she left the band in 2002 and her career has had a few up’s and down’s she is now flying high landing herself a role as Michelle Connor in the UK’s leading and most well known soap opera, Coronation Street.

Kym married Eastenders actor, Jack Ryder in 2002 but unfortunately the marriage did not work out and she has now settled with Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas who proposed to Kym on Christmas Day 2009. After loosing their first baby ‘Archie’ to miscarriage Kym successfully gave birth in March this year to a beautiful baby girl, Polly. I met baby Polly at a Sunday lunch a few weeks ago and she is such a pretty little thing.

Hear Say

I went to the Crème de la Crème ball last week in Cheshire hosted by Dawn and Ashley Ward who raised over £100,000 for the three charities they chose for this year’s ball. With many faces there to support the couple from Wayne and Coleen Rooney, Katie Price, John Bishop and many more footballers and Soap stars, Kym was there to kick off the evenings entertainment and her voice is still as stunning as ever. The evening ended with Marti Pellow from the Scottish pop band who formed in the 80’s ‘Wet Wet Wet’ performing all the old hits including ‘Love is all Around’ and ‘Goodnight Girl’.

After a long break from Corrie to rest and have her baby Kym has started filming again and we will see her return onto our screens in October!
